Official login methods and status codes below.Accessing Your CRA Benefits
The "My Account" portal is the only official way to view your 2026 tax returns, check benefit amounts, and track payments in real-time. Whether you use a Sign-In Partner (your bank) or a GCKey, ensuring your access is active is critical for receiving funds.
Understanding Status Codes
When you log in to check your Carbon Rebate or Child Benefit, you might see specific status indicators. Here is what they mean for the 2026 cycle:
- Pending: The CRA has calculated your amount, but the deposit date has not arrived yet.
- Issued: The funds have been released via Direct Deposit or Cheque. Check your bank account.
- Under Review: The CRA requires more documents to verify your eligibility (common for marital status changes).
Common Login Issues
Locked out of your account? The ERR.019 code is the most common error in 2026. This usually happens after too many failed login attempts. To unlock it, you must contact the CRA individual enquiries line at 1-800-959-8281. Have your latest tax return (Notice of Assessment) ready for identity verification.
How do I set up Direct Deposit?
Once logged in, navigate to "Arrange my direct deposit" under "Related services". You can update your banking information instantly to receive payments up to 5 days faster than mail.
Can I use my bank login?
Yes. The "Sign-In Partner" option allows you to use your existing credentials for TD, RBC, Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC, and others to access CRA services securely without creating a new password.
Where is my "Notice of Assessment"?
Your Notice of Assessment (NOA) is available in the "Mail" section of My Account. You will need the access code from your NOA to fully activate a new CRA account.
