Find Coverage: Approved Broadband Providers in Your Zip Code

Locate ISPs offering the $30-$75 monthly discount in your area.

Over 1,300 providers participate nationwide.

How to Find a Participating Company

Once you are approved for the 2026 Connectivity Benefit, the credit is not automatically applied. You must proactively contact a participating provider. The good news is that most major carriers and hundreds of local ISPs accept the benefit.

Using the official "Companies Near Me" tool by USAC is the most reliable way to filter by Zip Code and City.

Action 1: Search Enter your Zip Code to see a list of Fixed and Mobile providers. OPEN ACCESS
Action 2: Select Choose a plan that fits your needs (e.g., unlimited data or home Wi-Fi).
Action 3: Verify Provide your "Application ID" to the sales agent to activate the discount.

Mobile vs. Fixed Internet: Which is Better?

The federal credit can be applied to different types of service, but you can only choose one monthly service benefit per household. Understanding the difference is key to maximizing value:

  • Fixed Broadband (Home Wi-Fi): Best for families, students, and streaming on multiple devices. Providers include AT&T, Comcast Xfinity, Charter Spectrum, Verizon Fios, and Cox.
  • Mobile Data (Wireless): Best for individuals who need internet on the go. Often bundled with a free smartphone or tablet. Providers include T-Mobile, Metro, Cricket Wireless, and specialized carriers like Q Link or Assurance Wireless.

Can I Switch Providers?

Yes. The 2026 rules protect consumer choice. You are not locked into a long-term contract solely because of the benefit.

If you move to a new address or find a better offer (e.g., faster speed or a better device deal), you can transfer your benefit to a new company. You simply need to contact the new provider and ask them to perform a "Benefit Transfer."

Does my current ISP participate?

Most likely, yes. If you are happy with your current service, call their customer support line and ask: "Do you accept the Federal Connectivity Benefit?"

Are prepaid plans eligible?

Yes. Many prepaid wireless carriers are aggressive participants in the program and often offer "Zero Cost" plans after the $30 credit is applied.

What about rural areas?

Rural customers often have fewer options, but satellite providers (like HughesNet or Viasat) and Fixed Wireless Access providers are often eligible for the credit.
